One of our Managers, Mark Mason, is soon to replace his hard hat with his Water Polo cap. On August 1st, Mark is heading to Gwangju in South Korea to compete in the FINA World Masters Water Polo Championships.

This will be the third time he has represented Australia and his club at the World Masters event. As well as juggling work, travel and family commitments Mark has been training 5 times a week with his water polo team.

One of the leaders of the Work Health Professionals team, Mark manages numerous projects including noise risk management, health surveillance, onsite audiometric testing and other health and wellbeing initiatives such as skin checks and vaccinations. He is a long term advocate of ensuring organisations provide a healthy and safe working environment for their workers.

When he hits the pool though, it is all about offence, defense, physical fitness and strategic wrestling – above and below the water!

Work Health Professionals would like to wish Mark and his team well as they take on the best from around the world in the 2019 FINA Water Polo World Masters Championships in South Korea.

Our tip if you see Mark onsite in future, don’t challenge him to a swimming race or wrestle in the pool!

Safe travels Mark.
